TINY TOTS AND PRE-KINDERGARTEN (AGES  3, 4 and 5)
Classes for our youngest students are 45 minutes long and meet weekly.  The movements and skills introduced to the children are
based on body development, and are age appropriate.  Using music, imagination, and props to help the children achieve flexibility,
muscle strength, and motor skills, the children have fun and learn in a safe dance environment.  Children also benefit socially as they
are interacting with other children, learning how to take turns, following directions, and working with others. Basic ballet positions
and tap steps that will start the building of a solid foundation in dance will be taught in these classes.

KINDERGARTEN COMBO CLASS (AGES 5 AND 6)
A weekly one hour class that combines ballet and tap.  The children now have a longer attention span, and can stay focused longer.
They will continue to work on muscle strength and flexibility. Basic technique and more challenging steps are now being introduced to
help improve their balance, rhythm and coordination.

TAP, JAZZ, BALLET COMBO CLASS

A weekly one and a half hour class that combines the three subjects in one class.  It gives our dancers a chance to experience
three different styles of dance in one class. The children will perform in three different numbers in the recital.

BALLET (BEGINNER, ADVANCED BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE)
Ballet is the foundation of dance training.  This one hour class will focus on proper body placement, correct turn out, body control and
coordination.  The class will consist of barre work, progressions across the floor and center work.  The students will learn proper
technique, and terminology.  They will be placed at the proper level according to their knowledge and ability, as to provide for
maximum progress.  With continued hard work , proper body alignment, and body strength, pointe may also be studied.
Recommendation from the ballet teacher is needed to study pointe.  As students  progress to the intermediate level the class time
is extended to an hour and a half.

POINTE
Pointe may be taken only with the ballet teacher's recommendation and only after the dancer's body has matured, and has become
strong enough to support the dancer.
MODERN
A one hour class that consists of varying styles of technique, and body movements.  The class helps the dancer to better understand
their body and how everything is connected to it's 'center'.

LYRIC (CONTEMPORARY)
A style of dance that combines ballet, modern, and jazz techniques, where the choreographer and performers use their own
interpretations of the music and sometimes lyrics to perform with feelings and emotions. Strong technique is needed to correctly
  execute this style of dance.
TAP
Both 'Broadway' (traditional tap) and rhythm tap are taught.  Levels beginner thru advanced and adult classes are offered. Tap is a
fun way to learn about rhythms and music.  Classes consist of technique, across the floor steps and center combinations.  Starting
slowly and building up speed, coordination, and stamina.
JAZZ
Just like modern and lyric, jazz is a combination of different techniques, and styles that  move to faster rhythms, and beats. During
the class the student will work on muscle strengthening and stretching.  Progressions across the floor and varying dance combinations,
and styles.  Jazz can be performed to music from the 20's, 30's and on up to today's top 40 music.

SHOES AND ATTIRE
All children should come to class in leotard and tights.  Tots thru Kindergarten wear white ballet slippers and white tap shoes.
Grade 1  thru teens wear pink split-sole ballet slippers, tan tap shoes, and tan jazz shoes.
Jazz pants are allowed in tap, jazz , and hip hop class, and dance skirts are allowed in all classes.
All shoes (accept pointe shoes) and dancewear are available to purchase at the studio.
